Sunset Stroll

I didn't get to walk the dog until late yesterday.  But it was a nice time to take pics and see the sun cast her sleepy rays upon the city.

Church = Home

Since my husband is a minister, it helps that we live on the church campus.  Work and worship are only a few steps away.

Lovely changing of the colors in SoCal.

I wish we had more changing of the leaves on our trees.  But the vines will do.

Love the design of the outdoor lamps.

Trees are found all around the church.

Even their shadows encase the church's boundaries.

Lovely Middle Eastern arches recalling our Old Testament heritage.

You are the light of the world.  A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.  Matt 5:14

Ipod Touch: San Antonio Falls

We spent a very special day with S and her family.  I have known S since I graduated from college and providentially--thanks be to God--we have remained close.  13 years ago we were single and now we both are married with 9 children between us.  We hiked a short path to San Antonio Falls yesterday.  It was cold but it was invigorating and beautiful.

Neighborhood Stroll

My street is an intersection of commerce, nature, metal, wood, sky and trimmed grass.  So much to be relished on a walk when one simply looks up, down and all around.  Enjoy.

Ipod Shots: Etiwanda Falls

My new hiking buddy and friend J and I went to a nature preserve just north of a bustling suburb.  At the end of the trail is a wonderful waterfall called Etiwanda Falls.  I didn't want to lug my DSLR so I decided to test my Camera + app on my Ipod Touch.

There was steepness to overcome.  J offered to take the baby on her back.

Wild yellow daisies could be found sprinkled among the bush.

1.5 miles later, we made it to the Falls.

The water was very clear.

It was refreshing to hear and feel the rushing waters.

There was a terraced drop into the stream below.

The sun was still shining even though it was late afternoon.

The baby loved being in the carrier.  He never once did cry and only made noises to babble.

Camera + has some great editing features.

It was definitely an easy walk back down.  Can you believe my little ones hiked 3 miles????
